Welcome to yet another busy edition of KEPW Newsday. I’m glad to be back. I suffered a bout of illness which kept me from doing Newsday, so I hope you enjoy the Newsday music as it is, and that hopefully was entertaining. Thank you for your patience during all of that.
And I’m glad to be back with you for this broadcast. I do want to point out that in regards to some criticism of glorifying the police in my broadcast, first of all, to that listener: Thank you for listening and being a part of this broadcast. We appreciate that very much and appreciate your criticism.
We at the same time will tell you (or I will tell you) that history is written, whether it’s history from yesterday or history from years ago, is always written by the victors. So in this case, my copy of what happens, especially with police activity here, is written by the police or the sheriff themselves, and I have no control over that.
I do stay away from them gratifying themselves in their posts but I do have to read what they put down as far as the firsthand account. That said, if I rely on secondhand copy from local, regional, or other news sources, they still will report what the local law enforcement authorities say, so please keep that in mind as you hear my broadcast. I am only reading what law enforcement has put down in regards to all of this…
