UO faculty and staff raise funds to evacuate scholarship recipients from Gaza

Two students, Mohammad and Tasneem, have been awarded the International Crisis Scholarship to attend the University of Oregon. But their lives and the opportunity to pursue their education are at risk unless we act quickly.

To reach safety and begin their studies, they must evacuate from Gaza with their families. The cost is $5,000 per person, and we need to raise $35,000 to evacuate them and their five loved ones.

Last year, we raised some support, but the situation has changed. Evacuation from Gaza is now far more dangerous and expensive. Time is running out, and we can’t afford to wait.
