Hello friends, neighbors, wanderers, and makers. A doorway is opening in our little corner of Eugene — and you’re invited to step through it.
On Friday, April 3 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., we’re gathering at 454 Willamette Street for something a little different… a little magical… and deeply rooted in community care.
Welcome to the Common Ground Swap Feast — a marketplace of mutual aid, mutualism, and shared abundance.
Imagine a room full of blankets and tables covered in curious treasures: handmade things, useful things, beloved things ready for their next home. Imagine a Free Store where anyone may take what they need without trade. Imagine a warm community meal shared between strangers who will not be strangers by the time they leave.
Bring something to barter if you can — an object, a skill, a creation, or a spare treasure from your shelf. Bring yourself if that’s what you’ve got. Bring a friend who needs a soft place to land. Bring the spirit of sharing and see what opens for you.
This is not a potluck — it’s a community meal, offered freely, and nourished by many hands. We’ll have a Barterfaire, a Free Store, and a gathering space for connection, laughter, and the beautiful small moments that make mutual aid feel like magic.
If you’d like to help, share, donate, volunteer, or simply arrive with a heart open to community, you are welcome.
Let’s build the world we’ve been dreaming of — one table, one meal, one trade, one moment of kindness at a time.
If you feel moved to volunteer or donate to our free store, please reach out to echo@kepw.org.
