From Kalapuya lands in the Willamette watershed

LTD hosts inaugural ‘State of the District’ Oct. 15

You are invited to join Lane Transit District, transportation and community partners, and business leaders as LTD shares its first “State of the District” presentation Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the University of Oregon’s Ford Alumni Center, 1720 E. 13th Ave.

Attendees will get a deeper understanding of the innovative work LTD and its partners are doing across Lane County, and celebrate some of their recent accomplishments.

For example, In the last year, LTD’s Board of Directors adopted a new communications framework and LTD increased service by 8%, marking the second year of ridership growth.

Doors open at 5 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and no-host bar. The presentations begin at 5:45 with welcoming remarks, followed by a panel of community leaders, and LTD’s mobility vision.

LTD partners will be at this event, ready to engage with attendees on the work they do. For this inaugural event, LTD will be joined by transportation and community partners like Lane Council of Governments, Cascadia Mobility, Shift Community Cycles, the Springfield and Eugene Chambers of Commerce, PeaceHealth, and area school districts.

LTD is taking a collaborative approach as it develops a robust transportation system that meets the diverse needs of the county, seeking advice and building relationships with community-based organization, government agencies, and educational institutions.

Bus, bike, or park

The EmX Agate Station is just a five-minute walk from the Ford Alumni Center on 13th Avenue, with service every 10-15 minutes. Use the Springfield Station Park & Ride and board EmX at Bay G, or transfer to EmX from your neighborhood route, and ride to Agate Station.

Bike racks are also conveniently located near the entrances of the Ford Alumni Center along 13th Avenue and near the parking garage entrance.

Parking is available in the 13th Avenue Garage, located just west of the Ford Alumni Center. Payment can be made with a credit or debit card at the exit pay station, or with cash at the on-foot pay station on parking level two (P2).
