Make a lifelong investment in water quality, carbon reduction, erosion control, habitat enhancement and shade: Plant trees on the upper Amazon Creek riparian area this Saturday morning.
Bring your family and friends. Join Southeast Neighbors and Obsidians on Saturday, Jan. 21 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon along Amazon Creek near East 39th Avenue.
Volunteers will improve and strengthen the environment, community, and economy by planting trees along Amazon Creek.
Tools and instructions provided. This is a family-friendly event. Children are very welcome, but please keep pets at home.
Meet at the Amazon Creek footbridge near East 39th Avenue for instructions and a safety brief. Parking is available at Charlemagne School or on streets by Kincaid Park.
A second planting event is planned in February.
