Eugene public meeting: Hate group issues call to arms for national unity, purity

2 min read
Promoting an antisemitic website, the speaker packaged a call to arms for national strength, unity, and purity as a resolution to improve city infrastructure.

A hate group adopts a chilling new tactic, with a call to arms for national unity and purity. A caller identifying himself as Keegan asked ‘committees of loyal citizens…to report anti-national activities.’ On Dec. 4 at a Human Rights Commission subcommittee:

Keegan bells: My name is Keegan. I’m a disabled veteran and I’m a patriot to this land and, you know, it strikes—tonight I bring to light a matter that strikes at the heart of our national pride, the dilapidation of our own city due to the misguided policies of those who ignore our glorious heritage and reflect upon this travesty—our hard-earned wealth, a testament to our industrious spirit—is being diverted to foreign soils. And this is a betrayal of our forefathers’ legacy. And our once proud streets, which should stand as a symbol of our national strength, are left in disrepair.

[00:00:50] And why must our nation’s prosperity be sacrificed for those who do not share our blood and toil? And this situation demands a reawakening of our national spirit.

[00:01:01] Our current leaders, seduced by foreign ideals, have strayed from the path laid by our ancestors and they prioritize outsiders from our own bulk, undermining the very fabric of our nation, and we must reclaim that destiny, and it is imperative that we elect leaders who embody our national virtues of strength and unity, and leaders who will place our people and our homeland above all.

[00:01:23] And in response to this urgent need, I propose a decisive resolution for our city. And (1) is to initiate a comprehensive campaign to educate our people on the importance of national identity and the dangers posed by foreign influence. And this campaign will foster a strong, unified national consciousness.

[00:01:40] And (2) is to redirect all funds currently wasted on foreign nations back to our city’s infrastructure. And this will not only rebuild our roads, but also serve as a symbol of our national resurgence.

[00:01:50] And (3) is to develop educational programs that instill pride in our nation’s history, culture, and achievements, emphasizing the importance of national unity and purity.

[00:01:59] And to guarantee the success of this resolution, I propose that we implement rigorous oversight of all infrastructure projects to ensure they align with our national goals, and to establish committees of loyal citizens to monitor the use of resources and report any anti-national activities. And I would also suggest you all to go to—

[00:02:16] John Q: He named a website associated with a group that shares antisemitic leaflets.

[00:02:21] Keegan bells: —dot com because they have a lot of educational resources there. I urge the council to embrace this resolution and as it is to call arms for the preservation of our nation. And thank you for listening. God bless.

[00:02:36] John Q: Previous antisemitic callers to Eugene public forums, including one calling himself Rudy Hess, advocated for killing specific groups. On Dec. 4, a chilling new approach: Hate speech is now being encoded as a national infrastructure project.
