As of 2 p.m. Aug. 5, the evacuation notification was issued for the area between I-5 and Hideaway Hills Road and between Hampton and Ricketts.

from Lane County Sheriff’s Office

A Level 2 (Be Set) evacuation notification was issued Aug. 5, 2024 at 1:16 p.m. due to wildfire for the following area near Goshen: between I-5 and Hideaway Hills Road, and between Hampton and Dillard. The online evacuation map was subsequently changed at 1:56 p.m. to show the evacuation area extending from Hampton to Ricketts, roughly doubling its size.

Level 2 means: You must prepare to leave at a moment’s notice, and this may be the only notice that you receive.

After the application Watch Duty reported that the vegetation fire’s forward progress was stopped, the evacuation notice was reduced to the lower Level 1 (Be Ready), and then the Level 1 (be Ready) was cancelled Aug. 6 at 5:49 p.m.

During a wildfire, public safety personnel cannot guarantee they will be able to notify you if conditions rapidly deteriorate. Continue to closely monitor your phone, local media and www.LaneCountyOR.gov for information.
