‘Stuff the bus’ Nov. 12-13 to support local families2 min read
EUGENE, Ore. —(Nov. 8, 2021)— Turkeys aren’t the only thing we can stuff around Thanksgiving. We can Stuff the Bus, too, with quality, non-perishable food items and unwrapped toys to share with the many local families in need of a little extra support this holiday season.
Volunteers from local radio stations US 101 and 104.7 KDUK will accept donations at the following Walmart locations:
- Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.: 2659 Olympic St., Springfield, Ore.
- Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.: 1040 Green Acres Rd., Eugene, Ore.
*Frozen foods, fresh produce, meat, and dairy cannot be accepted. Non-perishable food items only. A list of the most needed food items is available on the 104.7 KDUK website.
For 26 years, the community has generously donated tens of thousands of pounds of food through the Stuff the Bus campaign that is distributed to families in need through Food For Lane County and given as many unwrapped toys to children through the Lane County Toys for Tots program.
